Ongoing Emotional Intelligence Webcast Series Hosted by the Human Capital Institute

September 1, 2006

Roger Pearman of Leadership Performance Systems and Dick Thompson of High Performing Systems conducted two webcasts in the Human Capital Institute series on Emotional Intelligence over the summer. Dick and Roger were joined by panelists Marcia Hughes, Michael Klein, Kelley Marko, and Larry Richard. We enjoyed a terrific turn-out for “Assess for Success: Adding EI to Your Assessment Mix” on July 28th , followed by “Mapping EI to Desired Organizational Competencies” on August 25th.

Roger and Dick showcased the power of Emotional Intelligence to predict organizational performance, giving an overview of both selection and development applications. They followed this with a second session that focused specifically on competency mapping and modeling with emotional intelligence. The robust panel discussions highlighted best practice guidelines for using EQ-i® and MSCEIT® in selection and emphasized the importance of adding EI tools to existing batteries to create multiple lenses through which to view individuals.

Our next webcast, entitled “EI and Leadership,” will be taking place in November. To register for this event, please visit the Human Capital Institute website.
